30 minSometimes the simplest recipes hit the hardest. This one is proof.
Yellow rice gets stirred together with crab meat, cream cheese, milk, garlic, green onions, and a splash of hot sauce and lemon juice. Into a baking dish it goes, topped with breadcrumbs, and baked until everything is bubbling and the top is crispy and golden.
Thirty minutes. One dish. Dinner sorted.
Kitchen Tips
- Stir the cream cheese into the hot rice so it melts and creates a creamy base throughout the casserole.
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice right before serving brightens everything up and keeps the crab flavor front and center.
- Toss the breadcrumbs with a little melted butter before sprinkling for an extra-golden, crunchier topping.
