1 hrsSlice into this bundt cake and you’ll see exactly why it’s worth making: gorgeous pink and chocolate swirls running through every piece.
Cherry cake mix and vanilla pudding mix create the base batter, tinted pink with food coloring.
Half the batter gets stirred with melted unsweetened chocolate, then both are layered into a bundt pan and baked until set.
The chocolate glaze on top is a simple mix of powdered sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk that drips down the curves of the bundt in the most satisfying way.
Kitchen Tips
- Don’t swirl the batters together. Just layer them evenly and the oven does the marbling for you.
- Grease and flour the bundt pan thoroughly. Every ridge and groove needs coverage or the cake will stick.
- Cool in the pan for a full 15 minutes before flipping. Too soon and it falls apart, too long and it sticks.
- Let the glaze thicken slightly before drizzling. It should flow slowly, not run straight to the bottom of the plate.

Directions
Place the cake mix, pudding mix, oil, eggs, and water in a large mixing bowl and beat at medium speed for 1 minute.
Add enough red food coloring to make the cake batter pink.
Beat cake batter 2 more minutes.
Pour half of the batter into another bowl and add the melted chocolate, mix well.
In a greased and floured bundt pan, pour half the pink batter and spread it evenly.
Then add half the chocolate batter mix and spread evenly.
Then pour the rest of the pink batter and spread it, and then the rest of the chocolate batter and spread it.
Bake at 350℉ (180℃). 50 to 55 minutes for bundt pan.
Cool bundt cake in pan 15 minutes and then turn out on plate.
If you make it a bundt cake, put this chocolate glaze on your cake:
