This easy to prepare bacon wrapped meatloaf is a breeze to prepare and always a hit in our home.

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
2 large eggs
1 ½ cup bread crumbs
¾ cup ketchup
½ cup water
warm
1 each onion soup mix

2 slices bacon
optional
8 ounces tomato sauce

Directions

Mix all ingredients except bacon and tomato sauce.

Put in a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Cover with 2 strips of bacon.

Pour tomato sauce over meat.

Bake 1½ hours at 350℉ (180℃).

Instead of onion soup mix, we used dry onion flakes and dry beef stock mix, also added some garlic powder and black pepper. The meatloaf was so easy to put together, and the flavor was awesome.

We made half of the recipe, so instead of baking in a loaf pan, we shaped in into a rectangle, and baked it in a small casserole dish, which worked very well.

Sean made a meatloaf sandwich for a quick and tasty lunch with the leftover meatloaf.

This is a classic! It was a staple when I was a child and have now made it a regular in my home. It's good to see the recipe live on!
