This is one of my absolute favorite things to make at this time of year. It takes almost no time to prepare, so I’ll whip up a big batch on my day off and then all I have to do when I get home is put it in a bowl or mash it up and put it on toasted bread drizzled with some olive oil. It also makes a great appetizer along with some homemade or store-bought pita chips. Honestly, when serving this as a dip or a spread, I don’t even bother taking out my food processor, I just use the bottom of a glass and mash it a bit.
Quick, easy to make, and it's also very tasty. Serve this freshly homemade hummus with store-bought or homemade pita bread.
This is a great way to use up extra home made dressing. Cook pasta the day before. Then add your leftover dressing and marinate in the refrigerator overnight. The pasta will absorb all the goodness from the dressing and is perfect for a quick and easy lunch or supper.

Why buy prepacked taco seasoning when it is easy to make from scratch. If you purchase the spices at a bulk store it is also very very inexpensive to make. As a bonus you can control the salt. Commercial mixes have way too much salt for my tastes.
Store bought chili powder lacks authentic flavor. We like to make our own homemade chili powder which adds a tremendous boost to Chili, Tex-Mex or Mexican recipes.
