Very tasty! It's hard to go wrong with garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil, and the potatoes and sweet potatoes soaked up all the deliciousness. A great way to cook root vegetables, and this can be served as a side dish or a vegetarian main dish.
Very warm and filling. Lots of mushroom flavor and the barley was tender and plump. I used a bit of olive oil to sauté the veggies along with a healthy dose of garlic. Easy to make with easy to find ingredients, perfect for a cool fall or winter day.
great dish when it is hot outside and/or inside.. sometimes a main dish with separately served potatoes, often with meat or sausages.. I like to serve it as a side dish to grilled food.. similar to Lithuanian chilled beat soup, which is fantastic, however they add a lot of cream, hard boiled eggs and do not add radish rather..
Definitely a five stars recipe, my husband made it yesterday for lunch. Nutmeg gave the extra zing, and the flavor was absolutely delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. We just finished the leftover for lunch, and it was even better. Strongly recommend this recipe to everyone!
Excellent, absolutely a good way to use up the leftover cranberry sauce, and honey works very well with other ingredients; love the nutty flavor from whole wheat flour and bran, and the citrus taste from the orange juice, you can even add extra orange zests in.
These waffles were super light just like the name. I made my own self-rising flour with whole wheat flour, and the waffles still came out light and fluffy. We had them with a homemade raspberry sauce and maple candied almonds. An excellent choice of breakfast.
Even the sweet potato/yam "dis-liker" (me) liked the flavor of these. Nice little bite from the cayenne. And the amount of sugar was just right. I don't care for really "sweet" yam dishes at all! Thanks for this addition to our holiday dinner. (Part of my "Thanksgiving 2010" Menu)
Incredibly fresh and crisp, the sweet sugar snap peas and the watercress flavors really pop with a perfectly balanced dressing highlighted by caramelized shallots. This quick and easy watercress and sugar snap salad is quite tasty, drizzling with the homemade Warm Sesame-Shallot Vinaigrette, a great side or a healthy supper.
One day I was in the mood for rye bread but I had no rye flour, so what did I do? I made a loaf of bread that tastes so much like the real thing, I am not sure I will mess with real rye (and the extra gluten) anymore.
The combination of honey and the nuts make this cole slaw the best. This is my husbands favorite coleslaw, when I first made it he just went on and one about how good it was. I got the recipe from my Aunt. I'm guessing about 5 weight watchers points per serving.
With its vibrant color and flavor, yellow rice is a staple in Latin America and the Caribbean. In Cuba, it's traditionally garnished with pimentos, but I sometimes top it with sliced scallions. Serve it with Cuban-style roast pork, ropa vieja or as a side to grilled meats, poultry or seafood.
These air-fryer (or oven baked) chicken nuggets are a delightful and tasty twist on traditional chicken nuggets. These bite-sized wonders are coated with a crispy, flavorful layer of Parmesan cheese and other seasonings, giving them an umami boost and delicious taste that sets them asunder from their traditional counterparts.
This rustic peach galette doesn't require fancy tart pan or complicated pinchy skill to make a delicate crust. This rustic galette is very simple and easy to make, meanwhile lots of fresh seasonal peaches are filled into it. A definite summer dessert, light, fruity and very delicious, which will satisfy your sweet tooth and the craving for dessert.
Love artichoke? Love leek? Love Potato? Love Garlic? Or Love them all? You should try this soup, it was so quick and easy to make, and it was so smooth and creamy without any milk or cream; and the soup tastes very refreshing and light, enjoy this yummy and guilt-free recipe, it can be served warm, at room temperature or chilled!
Famous for their authentic southern BBQ and gourmet meats, 3Bros Butcher BBQ of Bayside, NY offers this recipe to their customers as a good multipurpose rub. It can be prepared with or without sugar and the cayenne can be added to taste. Use liberally before smoking, grilling, pan searing, or roasting. Also great as an addition to your favorite bbq sauces or as a blackening spice.
The third time we made our own pita bread, this time I ground some sunflower and pumpkin seeds and added into the dough with the white sesame seeds, also added some sun-dried tomatoes, the pita bread didn't puff up too much like last time, but the flavor and the texture were both excellent. We really loved the flavor from the nuts and sun-dried tomatoes.
