I add a couple of teaspoons of multi-colored nonpareils to make them a bit more festive.

Low Fat, Low Cholesterol, Trans-fat Free, Low Sodium
 

Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter
or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups miniature marshmallows
or regular size
1 1/2 tablespoons light corn syrup
4 cups crisp rice cereal
¾ cup white chocolate chips

2 teaspoons candies
tiny muti-colored nonpareils (optional)

Directions

Butter or coat with non-stick cooking spray the inside of an 8 inch by 11 inch or 7 inch by 10 inch glass baking dish.

Melt the 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine in a large microwavable bowl; add the marshmallows and microwave an additional 20 to 30 seconds.

Stir in vanilla extract and corn syrup; mix in cereal.

At this point, the mixture will have cooled a bit, so now add and mix in the white chocolate chips and colored sequins (decorative candy) (if using).

Press evenly into prepared pan.

Cool completely and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before cutting.
