Turnip and Bacon Soup (Irish)



Trans-fat Free, Good source of fiber


¼ pound bacon
streaky, rinds off
¼ pound onions
¼ pound potatoes
¾ pound turnip
2 pints stock
1 x lard
for frying


Chop and fry bacon and onions.

Add potatoes, turnips and stock.

Cook gently until vegetables are soft.

Adjust seasoning and serve.
