20 minHere’s your secret weapon when you need cookies fast but want them to taste homemade.
Starting with a quality cookie mix saves time and dishes, while the extra egg yolk adds richness that makes them taste from-scratch.
The dough still needs chilling to prevent spreading, but everything else is streamlined for busy bakers.
Brush with egg white before baking for a beautiful glossy finish.
Kitchen Tips
- Use a high-quality cookie mix (brands with real butter taste better)
- The dough spreads considerably, so leave plenty of space between cookies
- Add almond extract along with vanilla for a subtle nutty note
- These are perfect for last-minute bake sales or unexpected guests
