Directions
Preheat oven to 400. Line or grease a 12 cup muffin tin.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, ½ cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and ½ teaspoon nutmeg.
In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter, milk and maple syrup.
Pour egg mixture into dry ingredients, stirring quickly just until mixed.
Spoon batter evenly into muffin tins.
In a small bowl combine remaining 1 tablespoon sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon.
Sprinkle over muffins.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.
