double crust, 9 inch *

Directions

Wash apples and grate (do not peel).

Add 1 cup sugar and the cinnamon; mix well.

Spoon mixture into pastry lined 9 inch pie pan.

Cover top with lattice strips.

Dot with butter and sprinkle with ¼ cup sugar, if desired.

Bake at 350℉ (180℃) F for 1 hour or until browned.
