Directions
Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs and flour.
Add soda and buttermilk.
Mix in salt and baking powder (add 1 drop lemon extract if desired) add mashed bananas and fold in nuts and vanilla.
Bake about 35 minutes at 350℉ (180℃) in greased and floured or papered pan.
