Cinnamon and Vanilla Oats

 

This is a great topping for yogurt or low fat cottage cheese.

Ingredients

cup oatmeal
old fashioned

½ cup almonds
sliced
*
½ cup cherries, dried
*
½ teaspoon cinnamon
ground
*
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
*
1 teaspoon water
*
2 packets stevia
*

Directions

  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet on med heat. spread the oats, almonds, and dried cherries in an even layer and toast until just lightly browned.

  2. Meanwhile, in a small dish combine water, cinnamon, and vanilla, and stevia.

  3. Drizzle this mixture over the oats mixture, mixing until evenly distributed. Transfer to a bowl, and cool and divide into individual servings.
