Spread with homemade marinara sauce, sprinkled with mozzarella cheese, and topped with sweet cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, kalamata olives, red bell pepper and onions. This easy pizza will for sure satisfy everyone's appetite, be sure to make enough :-)

Ingredients

1 each 100% Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
1 cup marinara sauce
or tomato sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese
fresh, torn into pieces

8 each cherry tomatoes
or as needed, slice into 1/4-inch thick
½ cup mushrooms
white button or cremini, sliced, optional
¼ cup kalamata olives
pitted and sliced

½ each sweet red bell peppers
slice into strips
¼ each red onion
halved and sliced
1 clove garlic
thinly sliced
1 x salt and black pepper
to taste

1 x olive oil
for drizzling

Directions

Preheat the oven to 450℉ (230℃).

Roll the pizza dough into 12-inch circles or use prepared pizza crust.

Spread the marinara sauce or tomato sauce over the pizza dough.

Sprinkle ¾ of the cheese over the sauce.

Top with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers, red onion and garlic.

Sprinkle a bit salt and black pepper, and drizzle a bit olive oil over the vegetables.

Place remaining cheese on top.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and brown and the cheese melts.

Cool for a few minutes, cut into wedges.

Serve warm.
