Directions
In a large nonstick pan or skillet, heat both oil and butter over medium-low heat.
Add onion slices, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and sugar, cook and stir occasionally until onions are caramelized, 18 to 22 minutes.
Stir in white wine vinegar.
Spread unbuttered side of 4 of the slices with mustard.
Top with onion mixture and 6 ounces each turkey and swiss cheese.
Top with remaining bread, buttered side out.
Grill in skillet over medium heat, or in panini press, until browned and cheese is melted.
Serve warm.
