Blueberry Crumb Cake, German

This crumb cake is like a coffee cake, not too sweet, which fits my taste. I often eat it with a cup of coffee or tea in the afternoon. I do substitute raspberries or blackberries for blueberries depending on what berries I have on hand when I want to make it. No surprise, it comes out great every single time.

Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake

This is one of those "ooooof!" cakes. Between the chocolate ganache and the chocolate mousse filling you might break out in some butter sweats, but it is very worth it. The cake is fluffy and moist, the mousse cool and airy, and the ganache smooth and creamy. A great show off cake for special occasions. Best of all, really easy to make!

Pumpkin Hummus, Caramelized Onion & Fontina Cheese Pizzas (Halloween)

Use the pumpkin hummus recipe from this site to make this amazing pizza. I love to fool around in the kitchen and I came up with this pizza and my parents love it. For the onions, cut them from one root end to the others and then slice them in little strips between the roots. They will be narrower on the ends and this keeps them from disintegrating during the caramelizing and cooking process

Frozen Peach Yogurt

You don’t need an ice cream maker to make this, but you do need a food processor. I use a banana and a small amount of honey to sweeten the yogurt. (See the banana-only variation on this recipe below.) You can serve it like soft-serve ice cream, or let it freeze solid so that it’s more like regular frozen yogurt.

Banana Corn Bread Loaf

Loaf leavened with yeast. Requires a bread machine. Here's one of my favorite breads to make. The trick here is to use stone ground cornmeal, not the powdered/bleached variety. It gives the bread a great flavor, and a really nice coarse texture. The combination of ingredients give it a very different flavor than standard banana/nut or pan-baked corn bread.

Grandma's Quick Chocolate Sheet Cake

This cake is my son's favorite chocolate cake. I think that my Grandma always had either a fresh cake or one of these in the freezer. It is delicious either way! It is a quick homemade dessert to make in a short amount of time. I make this a lot early in the morning to take to the office for later that day.

Twisted Butter Chef Jane Johnson has added a twist to everyday potatoes by adding Twisted Butter to this delicious family staple. This recipe is actually a favorite of Jane’s brother, JV—hence its name! This dish is easy and a warm, yummy dish for cold winter months.

Vegan Chocolate Pudding

I have adapted this recipe from one called "Mom's Chocolate Pudding" in my new FAVE cookbook, "La Dolce Vegan!" by Sarah Kramer. Check her out at GoVegan.net! :D I swapped out tapioca starch for cornstarch as corn is a very high allergy food, to make this recipe not only Vegan, but also more Allergen FREE. Chocolate is still an allergen, but I can do on occasion, so I hope you can too...

Galician Styke Octopus

The Galician style octopus is an octopus dish typical from Galicia, a region in the northwest of Spain. This region is known for its seafood tradition, with this recipe being spread to the whole country as it’s one of the best and probably the yummiest way to prepare octopus (in my opinion) with a few cheap ingredients. On top of that, it’s quite an easy recipe to make, both for cooking lovers to experts.

15 Bean Soup

It might seem a little odd, but this soup is so flavorful and easy to make! My daughter even loves it :) 3 simple ingredients that's it. 1 bag 15 bean soup dry (rinse and soak in pot of water overnight) 1 can of Rotel (I use mild for a little kick) 1 packet of dry ranch dressing mix. Soak beans overnight, then bring beans and about 6-8 cups water to a boil. Add can of Rotel and ranch mix to pot and simmer for 2-3 hours.
