These are hotcakes from the isle of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia.

Traditionally cantucci combine with vin Santo generally or liqueur wines, although they are very good even with the dry wines such as sparkling wines.

Yum! I added some sliced red bell pepper strips to give the dish more colour. Used fresh broccoli instead of mixed frozen veggies, and added a drizzle of sesame oil and rice vinegar in the end as well as some sesame seeds. Enjoyed the dish with a bowl of rice, so good!

Very tasty! It's hard to go wrong with garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil, and the potatoes and sweet potatoes soaked up all the deliciousness. A great way to cook root vegetables, and this can be served as a side dish or a vegetarian main dish.

Roasted cauliflower, a tangy and tasty soy-ginger dressing with fresh scallions, a delicious side-dish that you can serve with any main course; or just having it directly is a joy too!
