Halloween is almost here, this was the first Halloween recipe we made this year, a spooky calzone snake. It did look like a big fat snake, and it also tasted delicious. Instead of pepperoni, we used sun-dried tomatoes to make a vegetarian calzone that had a great Mediterranean flavor. Didn't have pre-mixed Italian seasonings, so used a mixture of fresh oregano, thyme, sage, rosemary, basil and dried red pepper flakes instead, which seasoned filling very well. The leftovers I just sliced calzone into slices, stored in an air-tight container, and put in the fridge. Later on, reheated it in the microwave for a bit, then put in the toaster oven for a quick toast, and it came out as fresh and delicious as it was just out of the oven.
