Made this impossible garden vegetable pie for lunch today , and it was cheesy and delicious. I browned the onions first for about 5 minutes, put the broccoli and bell peppers into the pan, and cooked for another 2 minutes to develop more flavors. Then followed the recipe, and it came out golden-brown on the top, very moist and tasty.

The phyllo dough for this recipe is found in the freezer section of most grocery stores. Add a little lemon zest to the sugar sauce, if desired.

I had this Greek pastry for the first time in a restaurant and I was not overly thrilled with it. So when I ran across this recipe and saw how easy is was to make I decided to try it. I liked my version much better, which will no doubt cause an uproar.
