Jambalaya for your slow cooker.
This very old soup is traditionally cooked on Easter. The flavors of my rendition are mild, however if you like horseradish and more spicy flavor, try to add 2 times more grams than I did.
A gently seasoned homemade Italian sausage. Fennel seeds, oregano and a bit of garlic. Perfect for making up a batch of bulk Italian sausage for use in other recipes.
Very excellent idea for cooking zucchini. Big surprise.
A favorite in Boston, especially at Fenway Park.
for fans of spring cabbage and untypical combinations..
A hearty and warm choice for those cold winter nights.
I cook sorrel soup every spring year by year because of the unique sour flavor. I usually make it on the base of long simmered veal bones. This spring the process of cooking was shortened by using Spanish chorizo. No regret.

Nothing says lovin like some spicy Louisiana cooking. I absolutely LOVE making this when I have the time. I'm toning down the amount of creole seasoning that I use, because I tend to be a little heavy handed with it. The amount is an approximate - season to your taste. Fell free to substitute cajun seasoning for the creole. It's all about personal preference. Enjoy!!
Italian sausage in gravy surrounded by fluffy sage biscuits. The biscuits puff up around the edges like a flower with sweet Italian sausage gravy bubbling away in the center.
During the fall and winter I make homemade soup once a week. I’ve got dozens of delicious soup recipes, but the Pizza Soup was the favorite of our sons, Keith and Mark. It’s really easy to make. I apologize for the inexact quantities, but this is another recipe that I’ve never written down…and haven’t made it since last winter! I’ve given the basic recipe, but don’t be afraid to add other items you enjoy on your pizza…including a dash of red pepper sauce!
I was out of Tofurkey Italian Sausage tonight and needed to substitute something else because I can't buy it. I had a cupboard full of Bob's Vital Wheat Gluten and some TVP, so I figured I'd try making it. When my hubby came home, he tried it and immediately said "Write it down! Write it down!" I guess he liked it!
A quick, easy and tasty one-skillet meal. Nothing was complicated, all the ingredients were easy to find. A simply tasty week-day dinner.
These homemade biscuits are buttery and flakey. Using ground turkey to make the sausage delivers a much lighter result but still tastes delicious. Gravy is packed with flavour. For those who love this combination for breakfast, this recipe is worth the effort.
A quick and easy one pan meal is perfect for a weekday supper when you don't have time to cook up a storm.
