US Farmer Confirmed as Grower of World's Largest Pumpkin

BBC reported today that US farmer Chris Stevens from Wisconsin has been confirmed by Guinness World Records as having grown the world's heaviest pumpkin ever.

The pumpkin weighs in at a record weight of 1810.5 pounds (821.24 kg) which is 85 pounds heavier that the previous record holder from Ohio.

Chris Stevens, who grew the pumpkin said the secret was "good seed" and "good soil" according to the news source.

In a news video Chris Stevens said "it doesn't take a rocket scientist to grow a 1500 pound pumpkin."
