Booya or booyah is popular the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul in Minnesota, and in Northeast Wisconsin. The dish is said to have originally consisted of mostly turtle meat and cabbage, although such things as chicken and oxtails and rutabagas and potatoes have always had a prominent role. The term seems to have first appeared in print in the 1880s.

This is a dish that was a favorite at our local Chineses eatery. I used to make it with ground turkey (before I saw the light) and have found that TVP works just as well. It's hot and spicy.delicious and just a little different.
Make your own bean burgers with TVP, pinto beans, bread crumbs, and other spicies. They taste a lot more flavorful than the store-bought frozen ones.

The Colonel’s Baked Beans used to be baked and made fresh daily. Now there made with a can of Navy Beans made by Hanover and a bag of sauce and precooked frozen bacon. When it is needed, it is just microwave and there you go.
One of my favourite Chinese dishes, because my Chinese friend likes it so much, which is definitely a good sign. Lots of textures and tastes delicious. I sometimes use leftover rice instead of noodles to make a fried rice. Yum.

This recipe worked very well with wild canadian goose. The stew was full of flavor and the meat was very tender. I will definatly use it again!
