So easy to make, and it was sweet, sour and very flavorful. Forget the store-bought coleslaw mix, this simple yet tasty recipe takes no time, cost-effective, and tastes delicious.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
¼ teaspoon salt
8 ounces coleslaw
shredded cabbage and carrot, about 1 package

¼ cup scallions, spring or green onions

Directions

Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring with a whisk until sugar dissolves. Add coleslaw and onions to vinegar mixture; toss to combine.

Serve chilled or at room temperature.
