Directions

Cream shortening and sugar.

Add eggs and milk.

Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder and salt.

Add to creamed shortening and sugar.

Mix thoroughly.

Chill 2 hours.

Turn onto lightly floured board.

Roll in ⅛ inch thick sheet.

Cut with floured cutter.

Filling: Cook mince-meat, sugar, and water together 10 minutes.

Cool.

Place 1 teaspoon filling between 2 cookies.

Press edges together.

Bake in hot oven (425 F) 10 minutes.
