Directions
Preheat to 350℉ (180℃). Sift dry ingredients in a bowl.
Cut in shortening. Add egg and milk.
Stir until flour is moist. Put batter in 9 inch cake pan.
Mix sauce well, pour over batter slowly.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Serve with milk or cream (while warm).
