Hot Cross Buns No. 3

Here are some virtues of such a recipe:

  1. No yeast, no stress: Yeast can be a tricky ingredient to work with, requiring specific temperatures and time for proofing. A yeast-free recipe eliminates this challenge, making the process more accessible and less stressful for novice bakers.
  2. Quick and easy: Yeast-free hot cross buns can be made in a fraction of the time it takes to prepare traditional buns. With no need for proofing, you can have freshly baked hot cross buns in less than an hour.
  3. Versatile: A biscuit-like hot cross bun recipe is easily customizable. You can experiment with different flavors, such as adding chocolate chips, nuts, or various types of dried fruit, to create a unique and delicious treat.
  4. Perfect texture: Yeast-free hot cross buns have a tender, flaky texture that is similar to a scone or biscuit. This can be a delightful change from the more bread-like texture of traditional hot cross buns.
  5. Great for breakfast or snacks: These yeast-free hot cross buns are perfect for a quick breakfast or an afternoon snack. They can be enjoyed with a spread of butter, jam, or cream cheese or simply on their own.
  6. Ideal for special diets: A yeast-free hot cross bun recipe can be adapted to accommodate various dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free or vegan diets, making them suitable for a wider audience.
