Directions
Wash fruits in hot water; drain.
Combine with rice, honey, seasonings, and water. Bring to the boiling point, then reduce heat and simmer slowly until the rice is tender (20 to 30 minutes). It may be necessary to add a little water. Heat flour in small skillet until light brown, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Stir in butter. Slowly add water, stirring constantly. When einbren is smooth and thick, add to fruit. Cook until the fruit liquid has thickened. Remove to a casserole and brown lightly under the broiler flame for a few minutes. Serve hot as a dessert. Serves 6 to 8.
