This flaky pastry is great for almost all the pies, sweet pies such as pumpkin pies or apple pies, it is well used in savory pies as well, such as turkey pot pie or chicken pot pie... The buttery flavor and flaky texture will definitely satisfy your palate!

Ingredients

CUP ML BUTTER, UNSALTED
chilled and cut into small pieces

TABLESPOONS ML WATER

Directions

Mix flour and salt in a large bowl.

Use your finger to mix in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add water, a tablespoon at a time, stir until mixture forms a ball.

Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

Transfer dough onto a slightly floured working surface.

Roll dough out to fit a 9 inch pie plate.

Arrange crust in pie plate.

Press the dough evenly into the bottom and sides of the pie plate, refrigerate or freeze it until ready to use.
