Featherlight Yogurt Pancakes













Trans-fat Free


2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup yogurt, plain
1 ¼ cups milk
2 large eggs
slightly beaten
¼ cup butter
or margarine


Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, sugar, and salt.

Combine yogurt, milk, and eggs.

Stir in butter.

Pour liquids into flour mixture, mixing just until dampened.

Pour ¼ cup batter on hot greased griddle for each pancake.

his was a great pancake. It was moist with add flavor from the yogurt. I had it on the table in twenty minutes!! Can't beat that.The only reason I gave it a four is because there were no variations. I added sliced bananas to the poured pancake. It gave it a slightly sweat taste without any sugar. Next time I will be trying blueberries.

I made these today, they were better than excellent. I don't have a word for it, but I haven't made pancakes this good with any other recipe. Thanks so much.

These are the best pancakes I have ever made. I use my own homemade yogurt in them. I always make them for company and have to give them the recipe.

if you choose a flavored yogurt, would the flavor of the product change? I'm thinking of a strawberry flavor. :P
