Ingredients

2 cups butter
2 teaspoons baking soda
5 cups oatmeal
blended
2 cups brown sugar

8 ounces milk chocolate
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
24 ounces chocolate chips
1 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
3 cups nuts
chopped, any variety, optional

Directions

Cream butter and both sugars.

Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

Add both chocolate chips, and nuts if needed.

Roll into balls and place 2-inches apart on a cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes at 375℉ (190℃).

Make 9 dozens.

Note: Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
