Bananas, frozen orange juice concentrate, yogurt, and powdered milk get blended until foamy, then poured into small paper cups or popsicle molds and frozen solid. Squeeze the bottom of the cup to push it up and eat.
They’re creamy, naturally sweet, low in fat, and originally from the American Heart Association, so you can feel good about handing them out on a hot afternoon.
Pro Tips
- Use ripe bananas for natural sweetness without needing any added sugar
- Blend until truly foamy. The extra air makes the texture creamier when frozen
- Small paper cups (like Dixie cups) work great. Insert a popsicle stick once they’re partially frozen for easier handling
- These keep in the freezer for up to 2 weeks, though they rarely last that long
