Toll house recipes

Originating from the Castle Restaurant, Olean, NY, this house salad dressing was particularly famous. The restaurant closed in the mid-1980's. The recipe was created by Chef Anthony Quirino Lentola in the 1950's.

Baked eggs with tortillas and cheddar cheese. An easy and delicious breakfast dish.

Made two bunches, one was orange jelly, and the other was lemon jelly. Both were great condiment. Everyone liked it, so it never lasted too long in our house.

A great way to use up day-old bread. I like preparing everything and assemble the casserole the night before, then pop the dish into the oven the next morning. The entire house smells "delicious" :) I do sometimes add some sweet bell pepper or broccoli, and my kids don't mind eating veggie this way at all!

These wonderful Ruffled Crepes are named for Isabel Holden, the original owner of the circa 1902 Victorian Bed & Breakfast. Served on a plate and garnished with sour cream and baked in muffin tins the lovely ruffled sides are truly an elegant presentation.

Make your own bread, you will love the aroma that fills up your entire house during the baking. The bread is delicious and hearty, an ideal breakfast loaf.
