Hearty winter meal that warms you to your toes! Any leftovers can be used next day for lunch or a side dish for dinner.

We love the Hot and Sour soup at Lettuce Wok 'n Roll, our local Chinese restaurant, and this is my attempt to re-create their delicious concoction. Sorry that the amounts are inexact. I didn't measure very carefully when I started making the soup.

A delicious meat pie is great at Christmas. Feel free to use ground beef, pork, lamb or a combination of different meats. Make a few of these meat pies a few weeks in advance, then freeze them in the freezer. Reheat it in the oven directly out of the freezer just before serving.

This quick and easy pea puree is a perfect accompaniment to crunchy pork chops or any grilled meat. It adds clean, creamy refreshing flavor into your main course. And it's so easy to prepare.

A classic Chinese sichuan stir-fry. There are lots of notes in this dish, spicy, sweet, fermented taste from soy bean paste, and Asian symbol flavor from garlic, ginger and scallions. In China, the eggplant is usually fried in a good amount of oil under a high temperature, and sometimes people add some minced pork to add flavor. It's a delicious and popular dish that you can find at every Chinese restaurant in China.

A cozy and comfy miso stew is ideal for cool fall and cold winter. Sweet potato, tofu (or you can use cooked chicken or pork meat instead), and mushrooms are browned with garlic, ginger and scallions first to maximize the deliciousness, then simmered in a miso based soup. Warms you up in a second!
