Meat spagetti sauce that uses whisky. The best pasta sauce I have ever had. With a bushel of fresh in-season plum tomatoes I made enough for the winter. It was worth it! This is a reguler large size version.

On this day in 1915, the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) landed at Gallipoli, and suffered the worst defeat in Australian military history. The fallen soldiers of all wars are now commemorated on ANZAC day. Another cookbook stated that these cookies were sold to raise money to help returned veterans.

I have made this pie several times, and everytime is a hit. The pineapple and coconut is a great combination. Very tasty pie.

Note: In lieu of fresh trout, 1/2 lb cooked and flaked fish may be used. Make smaller protions and serve as an appetizer. Oatcakes that have been gently warmed in the oven go well with this dish.
