I had this Greek pastry for the first time in a restaurant and I was not overly thrilled with it. So when I ran across this recipe and saw how easy is was to make I decided to try it. I liked my version much better, which will no doubt cause an uproar. So to anyone who has tried this dessert I want you to make this one and let me know if you like it, maybe it tastes nothing like it is suppose to.

Four cheeses mixed with spinach is the cheese layers, baby portobello mushrooms, dried porcini mushrooms and tomatoes make this delicious ragu. The lasagna comes out cheesy, juicy and full of flavors.

Beet, walnut, blue or goat cheese are perfect combination. The salad tastes earthy, nutty and creamy. A refreshing and wholesome salad on a hot summer day with any your favorite BBQ.

The addition of ingredients like curry powder and grated Parmesan make this salad special. Great for sandwiches, on crackers as an appetizer or served on lettuce leaves.

This cream cheese-based cracker spread is served free at a local pub. It was so delicious that I knew I had to try to duplicate it home after I first had it. At the pub, the spread is served with club-type crackers, but it goes well on any cracker or with crudites.

I used very little green bell pepper (only had a half pepper on hand), but added frozen peas and sliced fresh mushrooms instead. I also ad libbed a little more by spicing it up with a good pinch of my homemade garam masala. Delicious.
