Have you ever seen a ling cod? They are almost primeval looking - huge, gaping mouths with very sharp teeth. As with any fish, the most important factor for how good it tastes is its freshness. I picked up this fillet at my local fish market where they told me that the ling cod had just come in that morning. With the lemon-garlic butter sauce it was divine.
This simple fruit salad works at the start of the meal or as a dessert. The fruit is lightly glazed with either a simple syrup or agave syrup. Ginger, a bit of lemon, and some savory thyme which pairs amazingly with summer fruits accents the tartness of the berries and the sweetness of the stone fruit.
Think of this soup as a dessert more than a soup. Indeed, you could serve it as a dessert or as an appetizer. This is summer comfort food at its best.

Made two bunches, one was orange jelly, and the other was lemon jelly. Both were great condiment. Everyone liked it, so it never lasted too long in our house.
I love blueberries and this recipe has great taste. I make this a lot because you can use fresh or frozen blueberries, which I always have in the freezer.The tasty lemon sauce is the perfect topping for this tender cake. If you use frozen berries do not thaw before adding them to the batter.
