Easter Basket Cupcakes
Basket cupcake recipe is another popular one at Easter, usually frosted with frosting, coated with colored coconut flakes, topped with a few jelly beans or candy coated small chocolate eggs, using pipe cleaner or licorice laces as handles, cute and pretty!
prepared, 1 container
coconut, shredded (desiccated)
any your favorite colours
or candy coated small chocolate eggs
laces, about 4-inch per lace, or 4-inch pipe cleaner, any your favorite colours
Use food coloring to make one or a few different color frosting, such as pink, green, blue or yellow, separate different color frosting into different small bowls.
Use zip-lock bag to make a few different color coconut flakes, add coconut flakes into zip-lock bag, then drop one or two(or as needed)drops of food color, and shake zip-lock bag until coconut flakes change into another color, separate different color into different small bowl.
Frost cupcakes evenly with colored frosting.
Roll tops of cupcakes into colored coconut flakes.
You can match colors according to your own favorites.
Add three jelly beans or candy coated small chocolate eggs onto cupcakes.
Insert licorice or pipe cleans into cupcakes to form a handle.
