This is a traditional salad dressing with a tangy flavor. You can make it diet-friendly by substituting low calorie or no calorie sweetener for the sugar.

Low Cholesterol, Cholesterol-Free, Trans-fat Free, Low Carb, Low Sodium
 

Ingredients

cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons olive oil, extra-virgin
¼ cup ketchup
3 tablespoons sugar
or substitute the equivalent of a sweetener like Splenda
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
or white vinegar
¼ small yellow onion
chopped

½ teaspoon lemon juice
freshly squeezed
¼ teaspoon paprika
*
teaspoon kosher salt
*
teaspoon black pepper
*

Directions

Place all in bowl of a small food processor or blender. Purée until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.

This dressing will keep in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
