Brown Sugar and Soy Glazed Salmon with Broccoli Rice

This easy to make dish will for sure wow your dinner table. The brown sugar and soy sauce glaze is salty and sweet, which makes a delicious crust for the salmon after broiling. Broccoli rice is a perfect side dish to go with the salmon.

Directions

Cook the rice in a rice cooker. Steam or blanch the broccoli for 3 to 4 minutes until tender.

Preheat the broiler. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce and the sugar.

Arrange the salmon fillets and onion on a baking sheet. Brush with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Place the baking sheet under the broiler, broil until the salmon is opaque, about 9 minutes, brush half the brown sugar-soy glaze over the salmon 3 minutes before the cooking time.

Place equal amount of the broccoli and the rice on the serving plates. Place the broiled salmon and onion over broccoli and rice.

Spoon the remaining glaze over the salmon and serve.
