The quintessential Indian-Singaporean meal accompaniment. Unfortunately, all too often it is made using highly processed white flour and margarine. Here, the parathas are made with whole-wheat flour (you could also try using spelt flour) and stuffed with peas and potatoes, for a lighter but more wholesome take on the original. Serve hot with yoghurt and herbs.
This hearty Italian vegetable soup delivers. It is chock full of vegetables, two kinds of beans, pasta, and tomatoes, everything needed for a relaxed Sunday meal.
Absolutely loved it! The other salad I made yesterday, instead of couscous I used quinoa that is much healthier; didn't have cooked chickpea on hand, so I boiled some frozen soy beans instead, and it actually tasted amazing.
A very hearty version of my favorite soup. Add crushed red pepper to turn up the heat. It's delicious!! Perfect comfort food for a cold winter's day!
A scrumptious salad made with chickpeas and jalapeno peppers that's served with a delicious vinaigrette.
This is the other dhal we made yesterday, when the cooking was close to the end, added some spinach that was cooked with garlic, dried hot chili peppers and mustard seeds, which gave the dhal extra zing and tang, another delicious dhal recipe, of course another good recipe that you can serve with naan bread and raita :)
A veggie hating friend was over dinner and declared "wow, if my mom made vegetables like this!" as he went for seconds. The maple coated cashews are excellent in this recipe and the gentle touch of sweetness balanced with the curry is great.
A tasty way to use up leftover turkey from Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. It includes leeks and mushrooms along with the turkey in a traditional flaky pastry.
Mashed potatoes on top, several kinds of vegetables, give this pie a tasty flavor.
The soup was delicious and easy to make. Ideal for cold winter days.
An easy yet delicious recipe. I followed the recipe, and used whatever I had on hand. Then just mixed them up, and baked in the oven until the cheese was nicely browned. I let the casserole rest for about 10 minutes, then served it. Overall a great dish.
How about having some baked "rats" made of ground beef at Halloween dinner, this will impress everybody!
