This very dense chocolate cake is named after the famous California fault becaus it forms big cracks as it bakes and cools.

This moist apple cake is absolutely delicious. Raspberry jam, fresh apples and lemon juice make the cake taste refreshing and fruity, the almond-sour cream topping adds nuttiness and tanginess, and the lemon glaze gives the cake extra citrus and sweetness.

This cake is moist and tender and has a delightful frosting. I found this recipe in an old community cook book my Aunt gave me and it is very good. Great for a family dinner, picnic or potluck. One of my favorites!
