A tasty, substantial dish with many health benefits. Recent studies show that eating tofu lowers the risk of a number of age related diseases. Tofu contains high levels of isoflavones, one is called Genistein, that inhibits the growth of cancer cells because of it’s antioxidant properties. Tofu is versatile as can be bought in different consistencies depending on the recipe, firm for grilling, soft for casseroles and silken for desserts.
Huminta (Bolivian Style Souffle) recipe
This recipe isn’t mine. It belongs to Monika, who lives in Hagen, Germany. I asked her to share the recipe around the world because her bread is delicious, and she gave me her approval. This bread is sweet but not too sweet, any salt at all, fine as a dessert, fits to milk soups (photo #9).
This vegetarian wrap recipe is big on taste with it’s beautiful blend of spices that perfectly complement the tofu and vegetables. It’s really simple to make and so satisfying that it will keep your hunger wrapped up.
Love this salad. We jut had some leftover wild rice, and we didn't have sweet bell pepper, so used the picked hot cherry pepper instead, also added some sliced celery and smoked tofu. It came out delicious. A very good side dish or can be a wholesome and tasty main dish as well.
These are great for snacks or as appetizers! Fill with veggies as well.
Vegetable Korma is a delicious combination of several vegetables in a creamy sauce. It is often served in Indian restaurants. Korma can be served with any Indian bread or rice.
This healthy main dish is cooked completely on the grill and is flavored by a simple, four-ingredient marinade!! Excellent with grilled rustic bread served alongside. I like to use my Fig Balsamic Vinegar in place of the regular balsamic vinegar. A Must Try!! Excellent complement to the other flavors of course!! This is one of my favorite Vegan Main Dishes!!
