45 minThink Hot Pockets, but homemade and a hundred times better.
Bread dough gets rolled into circles, brushed with egg, and sprinkled with Parmesan before being loaded up with sautéed SPAM, green pepper, onion, and mushrooms.
A couple spoonfuls of pizza sauce and a hit of Italian seasoning go on top, then you fold, pinch, and bake until the outside is golden brown and the inside is hot and melty.
They’re handheld, portable, and absolutely irresistible straight from the oven.
Chef Tips
- Pinch the edges firmly and fold them over to create a tight seal. Any gaps and the filling leaks out during baking.
- Let the SPAM filling cool slightly before stuffing the dough so it doesn’t make the bread soggy.
- Brush the tops with the leftover beaten egg for a shiny, bakery-style golden finish.
