Sour Cabbage Salad
This salad fits to pierogi with the meat filling. You may also try it with fried or grilled fish.

|
50 | grams |
red onion

|
1 | teaspoon |

|

* |
Directions
1 - Prepare the ingredients listed above. If the cabbage is too sour for your senses, soak it in water for 30 to 60 minutes, then drain. 2 - Toss all the ingredients except the oil into a salad bowl. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Set aside for about 30 minutes. Stir sometimes. 3 - Dry fry the sesame seeds for 1 to 2 minutes. 4 - Stir the oil into the salad. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds when you are ready to serve.
Comment. Do not add too much salt. Taste the salad and maybe you like it without any salt as I do. If the caraway flavor seems to be too strong for you, dry fry the ground seeds for a minute.
