My sister was kind enough to share her wonderful recipe with me. Serve over any type of cooked pasta.

Ingredients

POUND G HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGES
or sweet, bulk meat (no casings)

LARGE LARGE GREEN BELL PEPPERS
or red, sliced
1 1
MEDIUM MEDIUM ONIONS
chopped

OUNCES ML/G MUSHROOMS
sliced
2 2
CLOVES CLOVES GARLIC
minced

TABLESPOONS ML BASIL
chopped fresh
½ 2.5
TEASPOON ML ITALIAN SEASONING *

OUNCES ML/G TOMATO SAUCE
¼ 1.3
TEASPOON ML RED PEPPER FLAKES
(optional) if using sweet sausage

hot cooked, any

Directions

If using link sausage, remove casings and cut into small chunks.

Heat large skillet over medium; fry sausage meat until just browned, about 5 minutes, turning to brown evenly; drain off fat.

Add all vegetable and garlic; cover and cook over medium-low heat until tender, about 15 minutes.

Add the seasonings and tomato sauce; cover and heat through, about 5 minutes.

Serve over hot cooked pasta.

This is a very easy recipe. Even someone who can't boil water should be able to make themselves look good if they cook this wonderful dish!!!

I made this with chicken sausage and one green and one orange bell pepper today. Delicious!
