Old Fashioned Cod Fish Cakes
Classic simple, quick and easy fish cakes. One cake per serving for appetizer or two cakes per person for a main dish.
Ingredients
1 | pound |
fish, cod
fresh, or 1 lb. box of dried cod fish |

4 | medium |
potatoes
white |
|
1 | medium |
onions
|
|
2 | large |
eggs
|
|

salt and black pepper
to taste |

Directions
Boil codfish until tender and flaky.
Crumble in medium bowl; let cool.
Boil potatoes and mash.
Chop onion finely and add to cod fish.
Add all other ingredients; mix thoroughly.
Form into cakes and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Serve immediately.
