Creamy eggnog spiked with bourbon and dark rum creates a rich holiday cocktail that’s dangerously smooth, with nutmeg-dusted foam crowning each glass.

This boozy eggnog has been warming holiday gatherings for generations, combining the richness of egg yolks and cream with the kick of bourbon and rum. The result is velvety smooth with just enough spice to make things interesting. Make it a day ahead so the flavors can meld together beautifully.

Pro Tips

  • Chill the mixture overnight for the smoothest texture and best flavor
  • Use freshly grated nutmeg (pre-ground just doesn’t compare)
  • Start with less alcohol and adjust to taste (some folks prefer it gentler, others want more swagger)
