In a blender, combine basil, garlic, nuts, and cheese.
Slowly add oil while blender is running.
Makes about 1½ cups.

This is so simple and delicious. I sometimes substitute almonds for the pine nuts or walnuts. Be sure to toast the nuts and cool them before adding to the food processor or blender. Doing this adds a real depth of flavor.
