Crockpot Apple Cider

Enjoy making your very own apple cider in the convenience of your home with this simple and easy crockpot recipe.













Low Fat, Fat-Free, Low in Saturated Fat, Low Cholesterol, Cholesterol-Free, Trans-fat Free, Low Carb, Sugar-Free, Sodium-Free, Low Sodium


1 gallon apple cider
12 whole cloves
3 each cinnamon sticks
3 x 3 inch pieces
2 whole nutmeg
whole fresh seeds
2 pieces crystallized ginger (candied)


Dump all ingredients in crockpot. Heat on high for 2 hours, and on low to keep warm until ready to serve.

This is pretty basic hot spiced cider. I prefer a little orange peel in mine, but it was still tasty. 2 WHOLE nutmegs sounded a bit too much, and I don't think they would have imparted much flavor, left whole, in the short cooking time. I subbed 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, which was just right.
