Cider and Chipotle Turkey Marinade

 

This flavourful marinade has the right balance of spices that makes your Turkey incredibly delicious.

Ingredients

1 ¾ cups vegetable oil
¾ cup orange juice
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
12 cloves garlic
3 tablespoons salt
or as needed
3 tablespoons lime juice
3 tablespoons oregano
dried

3 each chipotle chili peppers
in adobo sauce, or to taste

2 tablespoons achiote paste
*
1 tablespoon cumin
ground, or as needed
1 teaspoon allspice

Directions

Add the cider vinegar, garlic, salt, oregano, chipoltes, and achiote paste in a food processor or a blender.

Blend until it becomes a smooth paste.

Add the remaining ingredients and keep processing until the oil is emulsified.

Spread the marinade over the whole turkey that is prepared and dried.

Place the turkey in a large roasting bag, or a roasting pan with the lid, or wrap completely.

Keep it refrigerated and let the turkey marinate for at least 12 hours and up to 24 hours.
