| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 2 | sticks | margarine | |
| 4 | tablespoons | cocoa powder | |
| 1 | cup | water | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1/2 | cup | buttermilk | |
| 1 | teaspoon | cinnamon | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| Chocolate fudge icing | |||
| 4 | tablespoons | cocoa powder | |
| 1 | stick | margarine | |
| 6 | tablespoons | milk | |
| 1 | box | powdered sugar | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1 | cup | pecans | |
Sift sugar and plain flour together in a large bowl.
Mix together margarine, cocoa, and water in boiler and bring to boil.
Pour this mixture over the flour and stir well.
Add eggs, and soda dissolved in buttermilk.
Mix well. Add cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well by hand and pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.
Chocolate Fudge Icing: Melt together and boil cocoa, margarine milk.
Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and pecans.
Spread icing over cake in pan.
Cut into squares.

General:Bay Leaves come from the sweet bay or laurel tree, known botanically as Laurus nobilis. The elliptical leaves of both trees are green, glossy, and grow up to 3 inches long....
I tweeked this recipe a bit. If you use chorizo instead of the pork, cook the meat in olive oil, drain the meat, add some sliced serrano peppers, use habenero sauce for the hot sauce, and use a can of tomatoes with habeneros, and leave out the beer. It is very good.
